Civic Involvement

We recognize that a representative democracy thrives on an engaged citizenry.
Our vision is to encourage and facilitate civic involvement, creating a space where every individual feels empowered to participate actively in the democratic process.

Although education is necessary condition for the defense of a representative democracy, it is not a sufficient condition. In order for any representative form of government to survive, the citizenry must become engaged. And too often, citizens, particularly young adults, shy away from civil service because they feel they do not understand the political system. Simplifying an understanding of electoral process, and by removing the esoteric language often employed by politicians, Main Research hopes to encourage more citizens to run for office.

In addition to this, we want to take the more fluid media landscape and channel it exclusively on politicians. By giving citizens the ability to laser focus on politicians in their riding, they will be taking the first steps towards civic involvement. Next, we empower citizens to better understand and read legislative bills through community notes on individual bills. Our goal is to prepare citizens to, at an early age, be able to go into politics and serve their country in the halls of their legislature.
